Andrew Yim

Robert Gray recently fell victim to another player doubling up through him and this time, it was Andrew Yim reaping the benefit. The two tangled in a pot of over 1,000,000 and the end result sent Yim near the top of the leaderboard.

Yim opened for 60,000 from early position and Gray defended his big blind to see a 98♣5♣ flop. Gray checked and Yim continued for 100,000 more. Undeterred, Gray check-raised all-in for Yim’s last 360,000 and Yim called with 55♠ for a flopped set.

Gray’s overpair 10♣10 had been out-flopped and the K♠ turn followed by the Q♣ river secured Yim the double. Yim is playing close to 1,150,000 and Gray is under 35 big blinds with 680,000.
