Stefan Schillhabel is peaking toward the dinner break and right behind Adrian Mateos for the High Roller chip lead.
Stefan Schillhabel is the latest of the German contingent to climb on high on Day 2, following in the footsteps of Christian Christner. Schillhabel took down Lander Lijo and is now second in chips behind Adrian Mateos.
Schillhabel opened to 12,500 under the gun and Lijo jammed for about 100,000 on the button. Schillhabel called right away once the action got back to him with A♠Q♥ and had Lijo’s 8♣8♠ at risk.
The A♦K♦10♠ flop mashed Schillhabel and Lijo was drawing to two immediate outs. The 2♥ turn and 5♦ turn were no good and Schillhabel took down the pot. He is playing 615,000 as the field is three players away from the money bubble.
Joe Kuether and David Eldridge were sent to the rail in recent orbits and Sam Soverel is the latest player to join the field. Once the dinner break concludes, the registration period will be officially closed.
