Adrian Mateos is leading the High Roller field but that is not the only group he finds himself in front of. The recent influx of Spaniards in high roller fields is being reflected here on Day 2 as a few of Mateos’s countrymen are making a run in this event.

Jonathan Concepcion put together a productive Day 1 that saw him bag 110,800 and he has kept up with that trend so far on Day 2. While less heralded than some of his countrymen, Concepcion is starting to put together a quality tournament resume that already includes one DSE III cash. A cash in this event would be Concepcion’s first in a $10,000 buy-in but he surely has his eyes set on a much more lofty target.

Javier Gomez already has his signature win, which came in 2015 when he won the WPT Prague Main Event. Gomez reached the final table in last year’s DSE III $1,600 event and can add to his $1,180,000 in career earnings with a cash in the High Roller as he sits on 250,000 in Level 18.
