Three-handed play lasted for about 15 minutes as Michael Azria attempted to climb back toward the Rich Dixon and Darren Healy in order to have a shot at winning Event 42. Azria dodged quite a few bullets at the final table but a missed flop did him in against Dixon.

Dixon opened to 275,000 on the button and Azria three-bet to 700,000 in the small blind. Dixon called and the flop ran out 10♥6♣4♠. Azria moved all-in for 1,730,000 and Dixon called with J♠10♠ to put the A♠Q♥ of Azria at risk. Needing help, the 8♠ turn did not assist in Azria’s efforts and the 7♣ river sealed his fate as the third place finisher.
