Matt Lushin

Day 2 of Event 44 started nearly 12 hours ago and only five minutes into the final table, the first elimination has taken place. Stephen Song started second in chips but is the new chip leader after busting Matt Lushin, despite some confusion on the part of Song.

Martins Kleins opened on the button to 180,000 and Song pushed forward 2,000,000 chips from the small blind. Lushin called all-in from the big blind for about 950,000 and Song went to turn over his hand, apparently not seeing that Kleins still had cards in front of him. Kleins folded and Song turned over Q5 which had life against the A♠10♣ of Lushin.

Lushin asked for the board to hold but a queen hit the flop to leave him with three outs. The turn and river bricked, giving Song the pot and the chip lead. He is now playing 6,300,000 and is 1,000,000 ahead of Ryan Olson for the top spot on the leaderboard.
