Right after the elimination of Kenneth Wong, Peter Eichhardt and Yi-Chih Huang started working on a heads up deal. After being told their available options and running a few numbers, the two players decided to split the remaining prize pool based on their respective chip stacks. Eichhardt will collect $21,300 for his efforts in this event and Huang earns $22,317 along with the DSE III trophy.

Huang was a bit of a dark horse coming into the final table as he started second in chips to Eichhardt. Huang took the chip lead in four-handed play when he caught an Eichhardt bluff. From there, Huang bounced up and down but trended upward when it mattered most. He eliminated Kenneth Wong in third place to take the final turn as chip leader and earns the title of DSE III Champion.
