Brad Coultas caught magic when he needed it on the turn against Seth Davies to stay alive and boost his stack to 1,550,000.

Table 16 has been the central hub for action in the last few minutes as Seth Davies saw his chip lead vanish after flopping the nuts and then Justin Liberto pushed himself near the top with a knockout of Greg Geller.

Davies had his chip lead vanquished by Brad Coultas, who is near the top himself now. Coultas opened to 45,000 under the gun and Liberto called in the hijack. Davies called out of the big blind and the three players saw a J♠9♣8♠ flop. Davies checked and Coultas bet 70,000. Liberto called and then Davies check-raised to 240,000. Coultas then shoved all-in for 700,000 total. Liberto folded shortly thereafter and Davies called immediately with Q♠10♣ for a flopped straight.

Coultas revealed 8♣8 and needed the board to pair in order to stay alive. He found that help right away on the J turn to fill up. Davies paid the debt and is down to 525,000. Coultas is in the lead pack with 1,550,000.

A few hands later, Liberto opened for a standard raise in early position and was called by the player on his direct left. Geller shoved for about 270,000 two seats over and Liberto called. The third player got out of the way and Liberto showed QQ♠ against the AK♣ of Geller. The J10♠8 flop put a sweat out but Liberto held through the 2 turn and 8♠ river to bust Geller. Liberto is now second in chips with 1,700,000 behind Rob Salaburu, who has climbed up to 2,000,000.
