Level 15
Blinds: 1,500/3,000/500
Total Entrants: 2,216

The Venetian has been churning out massive prize pools throughout all of DSE III and the $1,600 buy-in $2,000,000 guaranteed event drew a field of 2,216 to create a total pot of almost $3,200,000. The 350 hopefuls who made it through the three Day 1 sessions are back today to play 10 60-minute levels with a Day 3 berth awaiting the survivors. The first place prize of $487,952 is on everyone’s mind but before that can happen, the money bubble must be burst which should happen in the first few levels of today.

Matthias Eibinger pulls the biggest pile of chips out of the bag to start today and he comes into play with 480,000. A few accomplished players are within striking distance of him including Kelly Minkin, Asi Moshe, and Robert Salaburu. In total, 225 players will make the money in this event and as the money bubble nears, new storylines will develop.

The Venetian Poker Room blog will be here for all of Day 2 and Day 3 as the largest first place prize of DSE III gets ready to be handed out.
