Harsukhpaul Sangha is playing near the chip lead after correctly calling down against Doug Lee.
Doug Lee has managed to stay out of harm’s way for most of Day 2 but just hit his first major bump in the road after Harsukhpaul Sangha caught him running a bluff.
Lee opened to 40,000 in early position in the cutoff and Sangha called in the cutoff. John Pappas came along in the big blind and the three players took in a J♠9♠5♣ flop. Pappas checked and Lee continued for 55,000. Only Sangha called and the 5♦ hit the turn. Lee bet 86,000 more and Sangha stuck with him to the 3♣ river.
Lee fired his final barrel, which was worth 133,000. Sangha took a minute but decided to call with A♣9♣. Lee was left to reveal K♣Q♦ and Sangha shipped the pot.
Sangha is playing 1,500,000 and is among the chip leaders and Lee is back down a few pegs to 1,150,000.
