Matthias Eibinger is climbing the leaderboard after using pocket aces to eliminate Doug Lee.

The second player to make a major leap up the chip ladder on Day 3 is Matthias Eibinger, who made mincemeat of Doug Lee and is over the double-digit million mark as a result.

Lander Lijo opened for a standard raise in middle position and Eibinger called in the hijack. Lee shipped it in for about 815,000 in the cutoff and action folded back to Eibinger, who called right away with A♣A. It was a worst-case scenario for Lee who had AK. The 5♣43 flop gave Lee chop outs along with a back door diamond draw. The K♣ turn gave him a few more outs but the 6♠ river sent him to get paid.

Eibinger is playing close to 2,250,000 and is among the top-five stacks with four tables left in play.
