Robert Laurie eliminated Martin Finger with kings and is playing 3,600,000 as a result.
It’s tough to avoid a cooler or two when you make it this deep in a 2,200 player field but being on the right side of them certainly helps. Matthias Eibinger already used aces once to eliminate a player but picked them up again and is playing 3,775,000 as a result.
Eibinger opened under the gun and Mike Peters moved all-in for 900,000 in the cutoff. Once the action folded back to him, Eibinger called with A♥A♦. Peters showed Q♥Q♠ and a dry board sealed hs elimination.
Over on an adjacent table, Robert Laurie is playing 3,600,000 after sending Martin Finger out with pocket kings. Picking up the action on a flop of 10♠5♥5♠, Finger checked and Laurie bet 85,000 in early position. Finger check-raised to 200,000 and Laurie called. Finger shoved the J♥ turn for 700,000 and Laurie called and showed his K♣K♥. Finger needed to hit his straight K♦Q♥ but missed on the 3♠ river.
Laurie started Day 3 just under 1,000,000 but is now top-three in chips with Harsukhpaul Sangha still the chip leader.
