Zach Donovan’s 2-1 chip lead over Jonathan Karamalikis to start heads up play is no more. Karamalikis doubled through Donovan and then took another sizable pot to gain control of the match.

Donovan opened to 520,000 and Karamalikis three-bet to 1,600,000 in the small blind. An all-in came out of Donovan’s stack and Karamalikis called with A♣K♣ for 6,100,000. Donovan trailed with A4♠ and the 7♣6♣4♣ flop put him near dead. Needing the board to pair, the 7♠ turn gave Donovan some hope. The J did no other damage and Karamalikis doubled up.

Then, Karamalikis opened the button to 520,000 and Donovan came over the top to 1,7250,000. Karamalikis stuck with him and Donovan continued for 950,000 on the 107♣4♣ flop. Karamalikis decided to raise to 2,300,000 and Donovan pitched his hand in without much resistance.

Jonathan Karamalikis – 13,100,000
Zach Donovan – 6,625,000
