DeepStack Championship Event #38 Final Table Wrap Up

Another successful DeepStack Championship event is in the books. This time, our Event #38 $800 PLO 8/B (8Max) 75K GTD attracted 161 players who created a prize pool of $113,505. Of those, 20 made the money, and after fourteen hours of play Chris Roth would become victorious taking the crown and the $30,077 first place prize.

The final table lasted just over two hours with elimination happening very frequently.

Fred Cabral started as the overwhelming chip leader when the final table started, and eliminated several players, before ultimately falling to Ari Engel in 3rd place.

Engel justified his abilities heading into heads up play against Roth and politely declined an offer to chop.

A short time later, it would be Roth proving he could tame the legend, besting Engel in the final hand and claiming his maiden live tournament victory.

Congratulations again to Chris Roth from Milwaukee.
