Whiteside started the final table as one of the short stacks, but stayed active throughout the final table, eliminating several players in the process.
Whiteside eliminated Fabian Ortiz in ninth place in one of the opening hands of the final table. He then eliminated Louis Gardocki in 5th, Greg Baird in 4th and the unknown player in 3rd place, giving him the chip lead heading into heads up play.
Whiteside and Douglas Shirk then agreed to an even deal heads up, and when all was said and done, Whiteside was awarded the victory and collected $71,041 for his efforts.
