Another successful DeepStack Championship event is in the books. This time it was our last DCPS tournament of the summer season: our Event #130 $400 NLH Closer $250K GTD. This tournament attracted a whopping 990 players who combined for a prize pool of $331,650. We paid the top 15% of finishers; however, only the top 5% bagged for Day 2.
We started Day 2 at noon with 50 players and had whittled down to the final table at around 5pm. Champ Noam Muallem had the chip lead going into the final table and did not relinquish it once.
When we reached our final six, a very amicable deal was struck, and everyone walked away happy—and, of course, richer.
