Vito DiStefano just took a huge chunk of Shaz Karimi’s chips. This hand began with Karimi 3-betting preflop from UTG to 150K. DiStefano called. With a 3♠ 8♥ 2♣ flop, DiStefano checked, Karimi c-bet 175K, and after some contemplation, DiStefano called. When a 7♠ hit the turn, DiStefano checked again, Karimi c-bet 275K, and DiStefano called again. With a 9♠ on the river, DiStefano checked, Karimi c-bet 550K, and DiStefano called. Karimi’s J♦ A♠ proved no match for DiStefano’s J♠ 8♠ flush. DiStefano is now our chip leader.
