Poker tournaments have a way of entrenching themselves in history and out in the Event 99 field, the top two finishers from the first ever WSOP Millionaire Maker are seated one table away as their paths intersect once again.

While he came up just shy of winning the event, Michael Bennington certainly can’t complain about his $741,900 finish for second place. The Las Vegas doctor plays tournament poker as his schedule allows it and just this week, final tabled Event 91: $600 SuperStack $200,000 guaranteed and took third place. Bennington is obviously no stranger to large cashes and a high finish in Event 99 would give him another six-figure score.

Benny Chen won the Millionaire Maker event in 2013 for nearly $1,200,000. The Canadian restauranter had his life changed forever that day and since then, Chen has been a consistent figure on the tournament circuit. Chen made his first World Poker Tour final table in November 2016 and is attempting to add a DSE III title to his collection this week.
