Well, another DeepStack Extravaganza tournament is in the books. This time, our DeepStack Extravaganza IV Event #1 $400 NLH UltimateStack $100K GTD drew 294 entrants who vied for a piece of our $100,000 prize pool. Of those, 58 made it to Day 2, and 36 found themselves in the money.
Our final table consisted of our usual locals, regulars from near and far, visitors, and folks from abroad. The action came fast and furious right out of the gate where we lost our first three players quite quickly. Of them, Justin Hall eliminated two, as well as our fifth-place finisher Tyler Patterson. However, Hall couldn’t seem to catch chip leader Dave White who entered the final table with the lead and never relinquished it once.
When we were down to four players, they became a little more animated, and, after a bit, there was talk of a possible deal; however that never reached fruition. When Michael Youngman went out in fourth place, our remaining three quickly and easily agreed to a chop.
When all was said and done, chip leader Dave White reigned supreme. Congratulations again to Dave White on his win, his $16,608 prize, and his awesome new trophy (to replace the glass one from another tournament his wife accidentally broke while dusting.)
Congratulations again to the rest of our final table.
