Here’s a doozy of a hand in our heads-up play. On a 2♥ J♥ J♣ 6♠ board, Ryan LaPlante bet 1.5 million and was called by Paul Camby. When a J♠ came on the river, LaPlante bet 1.7 million, and, after some thought, Camby called. While Camby had a 6 for a full house; LaPlante had the fourth Jack and is now the overwhelming chip leader.

Kina called Ryan LaPlante’s all-in. LaPlante had Kina covered. Kina’s A♣ 3♣ didn’t hold up against LaPlante’s K♥ Q♦ on a K♦ 3♦ 5♣ 6♥ J♦ board.
As is oftentimes the case when these tournaments are three-handed, we have entered the raise-fold-fold—er, rather, the all-in-fold-fold segment of the tournament.
Going into the Level 32 break, here is where our remaining three stand:
Paul Camby: 10.1 million
Ryan LaPlante: 2.2 million
Antonio Carlos Kina: 4.425 million
The gentlemen briefly discussed a deal, but decided, instead to play on.
Paul Camby doubled up again; this time against Ryan LaPlante. Camby shoved preflop with his J♥ Q♥ and LaPlante called with pocket 5’s. a Q♣ K♥ 10♠ 7♦ 6♠ board gave Camby another 2.2 million chips.
Ryan LaPlante added another 3 million chips to his increasing stack with three-way action.
The following hand saw short-stacked Paul Camby going all-in with his final 1.5 million chips. Antonio Carlos Kina called. Both men had suited Aces: Camby with A♣ 3♣ and Kina with A♠ 5♠. Camby hit a 3 on the flop and it held, enabling him to double up.
Antonio Carlos Kina extended his chip lead with a 3.7 million pot won at Paul Camby’s expense. Camby led out preflop with a 320K raise which Kina called. The flop came 9♣ A♦ J♦. Kina checked, Camby made a c-bet of 320K which Kina called. The turn was Q♣. Again, Kina checked, Camby bet 500K, and Kina called. With a 6♣ on the river, Kina, again, checked, Camby bet 600K, and Kina called. Kina’s K♣ 10♠ gave him Broadway and the win.
Ryan LaPlante recouped his lost 2.2 million chips from the last hand from Paul Camby when the two gentlemen reached showdown. Camby had a pair of Queens; however, LaPlante’s pair of Aces was superior.
Antonio Carlos Kina added another 2.5 million to his chip stack when he reached showdown against Ryan LaPlante when Kina’s pocket Kings gave him Kings full of Jacks.

Fentisov called Paul Camby’s all-in bet. Whereas both gentlemen had A, K— Fentisov’s was suited diamonds—four hearts on the board, coupled with Camby’s A♥ spelled the end for Fentisov and gave Camby an additional 2.39 million chips.
