The blinds are up in Event 107 and Qiao Chi still holds a commanding chip lead. Dorian Rios is in second place but would need a lot of things to break his way in order to have any hope of catching Chi in the immediate future. Robert Vance

Qiao Chi has been dominant at the Event 107 final table and his lead puts him in possession of over half of the chips in play after busting players two in one hand.

Robert Vance moved all-in for 800,000 under the gun and Chi called on the button. Adrian Armendariz jammed for 2,315,000 total from the big blind and after some thought, Chi called to put him at risk. Chi’s Q♣J♣ was live against the AK♣ of Vance but Armendariz had him crushed with QQ♠.

Adrian Armendariz

The 10♣9♠4 flop was perfect for Chi as he picked up an open-ended straight draw. The 8 completed his straight and Vance was drawing dead. Armendariz needed a jack to chop but the 6 river secured his elimination.

Vance earns $11,250 with Armendariz earning the pay jump to $14,625. Chi sits behind 9,300,000 with the rest of the field under 20 big blinds.

Steve Foutty

In the most bizarre pot yet of the Event 107 final table, Steve Foutty was eliminated in a three-way all-in and Dorian Rios tripled up with Qiao Chi losing a small portion of his stack.

Foutty shoved for 835,000 in the cutoff and Rios called all-in with 560,000 on the button. Chi called in the big blind to put both players at risk with 5♣5 and was behind the 7♣7♠ of Rios but ahead of Foutty’s K10.

The A♠73♠ flop gave Rios a set and Chi hit his own set on the 5♠ turn. Foutty was drawing dead and Chi missed his one-outer on the river and Rios survived.

Rios is playing 1,570,000 and Chi is holding down to 6,750,000, good for almost half of the chips in play. All players at the final table are below 20 big blinds with the exception of Chi.

Viktor Lavi

Viktor Lavi started the final table among the short stacks and is the second player to be ousted with Qiao Chi picking up his second bounty.

Lavi opened to 325,000 from the hijack, leaving himself with about 275,000 behind. Chi raised all-in from the small blind and Lavi called off with A♠5♠. Lavi was ahead with 6♣6 going to the flop.

Chi picked up a flush draw on the K♠102♠ flop and turned the 10♠. Still live to hit a six or ten to stay alive, the K river was it for Lavi.

Lavi earns $6,750 and Chi is playing 5,200,000, good for over one-third of the chips in play.

Nick Yunis

Qiao Chi’s chip lead has ballooned since the start of the start of the Event 107 final table and his elimination of Nick Yunis has him far out of the pack.

Yunis was all-in for about 900,000 with A♣K and was in a race against the QQ of Chi. The 107♠3410 board was not enough to salvage Yunis’s tournament life and he is the first player to exit.

Chi is up to 4,600,000 with the blinds set to go up momentarily.

There have been some amazing player accomplishments achieved during DSE III. From overall cashes to a streak of final tables, two players find themselves in the Day 1C field with a chance to add one more strong result.

Will Givens turned in a great week in late-May when he reached consecutive final tables in multi-day SuperStack events. Those two scores earned Givens a piece of DSE III as he is one of the only players in DSE history to do that. Givens nearly reached the final table of the Event #99: $1,100 $1,500,000 guaranteed, but bowed out in 14th place, earning $20,000 for his efforts. As this is the last SuperStack event on the DSE III schedule, Givens needs to hit big in order to score the trifecta.

Mark Manesh has made six trips to the payout desk this series and a seventh would tie him with fellow Floridian Matt Yorra for the most during the DSE III series. Manesh has done most of his damage in the $1,100 Turbo events with three cashes there but also has two scores in the $1,100 Bounty tournaments. A $600 SuperStack cash would be a first for Manesh this series and mark his fourth payout in a multi-day event.
