Well, another highly successful DeepStack Tournament Series event is in the books. This time it was our DeepStack Extravaganza I Event #40 $400 NLH MonsterStack $100K GTD that drew 370 entries over our two starting flights who created a guarantee-busting prize pool of $123,210. Of these, 55 made it to Day 2 and 45 of them found themselves in the money vying for a $27,114 top prize.
Our final table was comprised of eight gentlemen and one lady, with several local familiar faces and a few from faraway lands like Dubai and Canada. We also had some first-time final table players who were extremely excited to be part of the action.
It didn’t take too terribly long to reach the final table, but once we did, it ran rather long. Typically, we have a couple of quick eliminations; however, tonight the eliminations were coming like newspapers hot off the presses until we reached the final four and the eliminations came to a screeching halt.
When we were four-handed, champ Randy Krushelniski was short-stacked, but he soon got into the groove, buckled down, and made some spectacular plays—with some help from the poker gods or lady luck or whomever—to catapult him into the lead where remained until the very end.
Congratulations again to Randy Krushelniski who took home a hefty $21,685 first prize along with a silver championship coin and our beautiful and highly coveted trophy.

Congratulations to the rest of our final table.
