Viktor Lavi

Viktor Lavi started the final table among the short stacks and is the second player to be ousted with Qiao Chi picking up his second bounty.

Lavi opened to 325,000 from the hijack, leaving himself with about 275,000 behind. Chi raised all-in from the small blind and Lavi called off with A♠5♠. Lavi was ahead with 6♣6 going to the flop.

Chi picked up a flush draw on the K♠102♠ flop and turned the 10♠. Still live to hit a six or ten to stay alive, the K river was it for Lavi.

Lavi earns $6,750 and Chi is playing 5,200,000, good for over one-third of the chips in play.

Nick Yunis

Qiao Chi’s chip lead has ballooned since the start of the start of the Event 107 final table and his elimination of Nick Yunis has him far out of the pack.

Yunis was all-in for about 900,000 with A♣K and was in a race against the QQ of Chi. The 107♠3410 board was not enough to salvage Yunis’s tournament life and he is the first player to exit.

Chi is up to 4,600,000 with the blinds set to go up momentarily.
