Ross Fabrizio put up a more than valiant fight against Airy Phanhyaseng but came up just short in his pursuit of a DSE III title. The final hand of the night epitomized Phanhyaseng’s night as he caught the right card at the right time to eliminate Fabrizio.

Phanhyaseng opened for 375,000 on the button and Fabrizio called to see a 7♦3♦2♥ flop. Fabrizio bet 400,000 and Phanhyaseng moved all-in for about 2,800,000 effectively.

Fabrizio called with Q♥7♠ and had his money in good against Phanhyaseng K♦2♦. The 8♠ turn had Fabrizio one step closer to the double but the 2♣ river gave Phanhyaseng trips and the victory.
