Already in the DSE III series, we have seen players put together a deep run in more than one event. Most notably, Will Givens made back-to-back final tables in multi-day events in Event 12 and 18, respectively. Oluwashola Deadman started her DSE III about as well as she could hope for by chopping the Event 7 $400 $100,000 guaranteed SuperStack for over $26,000. Deadman officially took second in the event and is in the hunt for her first DSE title. Both she and her husband, Simon, are familiar faces in the Venetian Poker Room and in action on Day 1A.
Airy Phanhyaseng put together an impressive wire-to-wire final table performance at the Event 12 final table that culminated in him taking down first place for $40,000. That title is the third forPhanhyaseng, who is quite familiar with all events at the Venetian. Phanhyaseng said he would be back again soon, and indeed he is in the early stages of Day 1A.
