Event 33: Day 2 Of The High Roller Ready To Begin, Overlay In Play

Event 33: $10,000 High-Roller 8-Max $1,000,000 Guarantee

Level 14
Blinds: 800-1,600 w/3,000 ante
Total Entrants: 62
Players Remaining: 24

The $1,000,000 guaranteed High Roller event drew 62 entries over the first two days of action, putting almost $600,000 in the prize pool and leaving a substantial overlay to fight over. Some of the biggest names in poker are already in the Day 2 field along with the 24 players who bagged from the first two starting flights.

All players who enter today will start with 50,000 chips and have 60-minute levels at their disposal. Late registration and unlimited re-entry are available through the end of Level 19 (approximately 9:30 pm) and any player who enters then will have 10 big blinds to work with.

Chris Hunichen leads the players who return from Day 1 with 370,500. Among those joining him who bagged strong stacks include Darren Elias, Ankush Mandavia, and Taylor Paur. Day 2 is scheduled to play through the end of Level 23 but that is subject to change. The Venetian Poker Room blog will be here through the entirety of Day 2 and 3 as we march toward crowning the first ever DSE High Roller Champion.
