Hector Salgado started the final table in the middle of the pack in chips but is now pushing toward chip leader Veerachai Vongxaiburana after doubling up through Sean Troha.
Salgado opened to 60,000 from early position and Troha called on the button. Salgado bet 140,000 on the K♥10♠8♠ flop and Troha raised to 280,000. Salgado slid the rest of his 250,000 chips in the middle and turned over A♣Q♣J♠3♦ for a straight draw wrap.
Troha showed A♠6♣4♥3♠ for the nut flush draw that improved to a low draw on the 2♣ turn. The Q♦ river, though, gave Salgado the straight to chip up to close to 800,000.
Troha fell to less than 50,000 after shipping the double but managed to get some chips back from Salgado to maintain his tournament life for the time being.
