Hector Salgado
Considering he was down to a single big blind a few levels ago, Hector Salgado has plenty to be proud of considering he mad almost $8,000 more for jumping up to third place after having dust with six players left. Alas, Salgado is out and play is down to heads up.
Salgado lost most of his stack when he raised to 200,000 and then check-folded when he didn’t catch on the board to leave himself with just 60,000. Those chips went in the next hand and both Lance Howard along with Veerachai Vongxaiburana had him at risk. They checked down the K♠9♥6♦2♠7♣ board and Howard showed K♣Q♦4♠2♣ to best the exposed 9♠6♣ of Salgado.
Heads up play is now underway with Vongxaiburana holding 2,250,000 to the 1,300,000 of Howard.
