Harrison Gimbel

Harrison Gimbel has accomplished plenty in his poker career and can now add a DSE title to his excellent resume. This victory is a bit out of the ordinary as Gimbel had to come all the way back after nearly being eliminated earlier this afternoon. Gimbel lost a flip to Antoine Saout at the start of the Event 51 final table and was down to just a few blinds. Slowly but surely, Gimbel pushed himself back into contention and eventually claimed the chip lead as he pulled away from the rest of the field.

Gimbel’s elimination of Ariel Manuel gave him the advantage he needed and he never looked back from there. Gimbel eliminated the final five players and collected the $300 bounty for each player.

In total, Gimbel claimed 12 bounties on his way to victory making his victory worth just under $49,000 total. This is Gimbel’s second win in a bounty event, coupled with his win in the 2015 Borgata Poker Open Black Chip Bounty event. With his victory today, Gimbel is closing in on $4,000,000 in live earnings and will be back at some point this summer to the Venetian to try and reach that milestone.
