Martin Finger is playing three-quarters of a 1,000,000 and leads the group of players currently in the middle of the Event 56 pack.
The top of the leaderboard in Event 56 is filled with names you’ve seen plenty of before but the current middle class is jam-packed with heavyweights, among them, Martin Finger. The German-born Finger has plenty of tournament experience and started off Level 21 on the right foot by taking a pot from Seth Davies.
Finger opened to 25,000 from early position and Davies called in the cutoff. Finger bet 28,000 on the K♣Q♣6♦ flop and then 90,000 on the 5♥ turn. Davies called both times and Finger bet 225,000 on the 7♦ river. Davies double-checked his cards and then flicked them in and Finger took the pot.
Davies is still plenty healthy with 1,350,000 and Finger is at his Day 2 peak with 745,000. Below is a look at the middle of the pack, with Finger the leader of that group.
