DeepStack Extravaganza Event 84 Champion –
Raffaele Sorrentino

The DSE III Bounty events have attracted strong crowds filled with top players and the $1,600 buy-in $500,000 guaranteed edition did not disappoint. Raffaele Sorrentino held a sizable chip advantage coming into the final table and expanded it at every opportunity.

The 2017 PokerStars Championship Monte Carlo Main Event winner found new ways to put his opponents to the test and managed not to lose any critical all-ins as the field narrowed to four-handed play. Sorrentino maintained his lead for the entire final table and held roughly half of the chips in play when a deal was discussed.

As a result of his stack, Sorrentino wound up taking home over $84,000 for his efforts along with the multiple $500 bounties he collected throughout the two-day tournament. Sorrentino’s win in Event 84 is his first in a DSE event and hopefully not the last with a few more events on the schedule before the end of the summer schedule.
