For as long as it took for the pace of play to slow down in Event 99, it has sped back up. Chance Kornuth eliminated Jonathan Tamayo to bring the field down to 18 players and then three more followed him out the door to bring the field down to 15.

Tamayo was all-in for 995,000 with 10♠10♣ and was crushed by the K♣K of Kornuth. The 744♠2♣3 board provided no hope for Tamayo and he is out. Kornuth is the chip leader with 7,700,000.

Shortly after Tamayo’s departure, Thayer Rasmussen, Mutie Sughayar and Peter Nigh finished in places 16-18, each earning $17,371. The updated seating assignments and chip counts are below.
