Congratulations to Steven Bander from Concord, MA who finished sixth in our DeepStack Extravaganza (NYE) Event #3 $340 NLH DoubleStack $100K GTD winning $6,912.
In a heartbreaker, Bander went all in with his final 420K and pocket Queens. Adam Pritchett called with his 7♠ 8♠. When the flop fell 6♠ 9♦ 10♦, Bander knew he needed a lot of help. A 10♥ on the turn and 7♣ on the river spelled the end of his tournament life.

Going into the break before Level 28, here is where our final six stand:
Craig Le Compte: 2.06 million
Adam Pritchett: 6.73 million
David Ramos: 1.255 million
Amanda Baker: 2.885 million
Adrian Chan: 2.6 million
Steven Bander: 580,000
When we return, the blinds will be 40,000/80,000 with an 80,000 big-blind ante.
Congratulations to Matt Kipper from Canada who finished seventh in our DeepStack Extravaganza (NYE) Event #3 $340 NLH DoubleStack $100K GTD winning $5,317.
Adrian Chan dealt Kipper his final blow when Chan’s pocket nines held up against Kipper’s A♣ 2♣ on a 5♣ 6♣ 6♠ 7♠ 8♥ board.

Adrian Chan just dealt Matt Kipper a near-fatal blow when Kipper went all-in with his 1.215 million chips and A♠ J♦ and Chan called all-in with his Q♦ A♣ and final 705,000 chips. With a Queen on the flop, Kipper is holding on by a thread, but he is still alive.
Congratulations to Thanh Tran from Las Vegas, NV who finished eighth in our DeepStack Extravaganza (NYE) Event #3 $340 NLH DoubleStack $100K GTD winning $4,254.
In this doozy of a hand, Adam Pritchett raised to 150,000 preflop. Tran raised to 705,000, and Pritchett came in over the top with 1.35 million. Tran called, reserving his final 205,000 chips until after the flop. In the end, Pritchett’s pocket Aces held up against Tran’s Q♣ K on a 5♦ 7♦ 8♦ Q♣ 2♣ board.

Craig Le Compte just doubled up his 810,000 versus Adrian Chan. From the small blind, Le Compte went all in with A♠ 9♠. Chan called with pocket tens. Le Compte was a bit worried when the board ran 5♥ 5♣ K♠ 3♥, but an A♣ on the river kept Le Compte alive with a nice double up.
Steven Bander raised preflop to 150,000 and was called by Thanh Tran and Adrian Chan. When the flop came Q♦ 8♠ 2♣ and Tran raised to 225,000, Chan folded and Bander went all-in with his last 525,000 and A♠ Q♣. Tran called with Q♠ K♦. With a 3♠ on the turn and a 6♥ on the river, Bander’s kicker earned him the double-up.
Short-stacked David Ramos just doubled up twice. The first time, his A♥ 6♣ was called by Adrian Chan’s 3♦ 4♦. With a 10♣ J♦ 5♦ flop, Ramos was, indeed, worried. However with a 7♥ on the turn and a K♣ on the river, Ramos doubled up.
In the very next hand, Ramos went all in with pocket sixes and was called by Matt Kipper’s K♠ 4♠. When the board ran out A♣ 9♦ 3♥ Q♥ 5♥, Ramos doubled up again.
Matt Kipper just risked his last 850,000 chips by going all-in with his A♦ 8♥ when he was called by David Ramos and his K♥ Q♠. When the board ran out 4♥ 5♣ 7♦ 6♠ J♠, Kipper let out a sigh of relief.
