Another successful DeepStack Championship event is in the books. This time, our Event #24 $1,100 NLH Summer Kick Off attracted an impressive 518 players who created a prize pool of $505,050; surpassing the guarantee of $400,000. Of those, 66 made it to Day 2, and we paid out 56 places.

The final table lasted four hours with the first five players to hit the rail falling to a different opponent each time. Then, in the space of 10-minutes, Sean Dunwoodie, Ricky Guan and Chih Ying Liang were eliminated leaving us with just two.

Brian Altman and Robert Kuhn reached heads up play, but instead of playing it out, opted to chop with no hands being played. Altman had the chip lead and took down the title as well as the coveted trophy.

Altman is no stranger to this event after capturing the exact same title two years ago. He joked afterwards saying that he was a defending champion (after taking last year’s summer off).
