Another successful DeepStack Championship event is in the books. This time, our Event #67 $600 NLH EpicStack $750K GTD attracted 1,987 players who created a prize pool of $1,003,435; crushing the guarantee of $750,000. Of those, 318 made it to Day 2, and we paid out 207 places.

It took over ten hours for the field of 318 to dwindle down to it’s final ten. Then, in just over two hours and after a deal four-handed, a champion emerged.

Israel’s Zakhar Galper came into the final table as one of the chip leaders. He then observed as Shaun Zammit (three knockouts), Leandro Gorzoni Da Silva (two knockouts) and Ian Matakis (one knockout) did all the hard work taking out everyone at the final table.

Galper was able to win several key pots throughout which saw him capture the chip lead just before the final four players were reached. Zammit (4th), Da Silva (3rd), Matakis (2nd) and Galper all agreed on a four-way chop that saw Galper come out victorious.
