This month I had the pleasure of sitting down with one of our awesome dual rates, Bhagya (or “B” as some of us call him.) He is a very well-spoken, friendly, and interesting guy, and I believe you will all agree.

Where are you from? 
I was born in Sri Lanka but grew up in New Orleans. (Are you a Saints fan?) Die hard!

How long have you been in Las Vegas? How about at The Venetian Poker Room?
I moved to Vegas in 2007 and worked as a restaurant operations manager before coming to the Venetian. I have been here for three years now.

What is your favorite part of your job?
When I’m dealing, I honestly don’t feel I’m at work because I love poker: playing, dealing, all of it.

When I’m flooring, I love dressing up, but I also love my coworkers. I get along well with everyone. (I can vouch for that.)

I just really enjoy the variety I’m afforded between my two functions.

Do you have any hobbies?
Oh, I’m an avid Cross-Fitter and poker player. I am also a movie fanatic, especially thrillers and suspense movies.

What is unusual or unique about you?
I have VERY flexible hands (he said while demonstrating the creepy and inhuman ways he can maneuver his hands and fingers.)

Where do you see yourself in five years?
I’d like to be a full-time supervisor here in the poker room. I also enjoy sales. I currently work part-time in solar sales as well.

How about ten years?
Of course, I’d like to be financially stable. I would also like to be married. In fact, I’m always taking applications (Laughs.)
