Travis Preng Eliminated in 9th Place ($2,486)

Congratulations to Travis Preng from Las Vegas, NV who finished ninth in our DeepStack Extravaganza I Event #49 $400 NLH DoubleStack $100K GTD winning $2,486.

Preng was eliminated by Corbin Avery. This hand began with Preng raising to 60K from UTG and Avery called. The flop fell 7♥ Q♦ Q♥. Avery checked, Preng bet 64K, Avery raised to 245K, and Preng called. The turn came 4♥, and Avery shoved with his 800K-ish chips. After a long deliberation, Preng called . Avery’s 10♥ 6♥ flush was far superior to Preng’s pocket nines. A 7x on the river sealed Preng’s fate.

DeepStack Extravaganza I Event #42 Final Table Wrap Up

Well, another DeepStack Extravaganza I tournament is in the books. This time, it was our Event #42 $1,600 NLH Main Event with a whopping $1M guarantee. We had an impressive 797 entrants, and 252 of these players made Day 2, all vying for part of a $1,143,695 prize pool. 81 players found themselves in the money, and 50 returned for Day 3.

The final table was a nice group of seasoned and highly skilled players. Chips changed hands not unlike Wall Street stocks, as the chip leader honors moved around quite a bit. However, when all was said and done, we found ourselves heads up between pros Jesse Sylvia and James Carroll.

The two gentlemen agreed to an even chop and played one final hand for the title and the trophy. Jesse Sylvia emerged victorious.

Congratulations again to Jesse Sylvia who won $184,707 and our beautiful trophy.
