Another successful DeepStack Extravaganza II tournament is in the books. Our Event #20 $600 NLH MonsterStack $200K GTD attracted 447 players who created a prize pool of $227,970. Seventy-four players made it to Day 2, and of those, 45 found themselves in the money.
Thanks to a double elimination on the bubble, our final table was comprised of nine gentlemen with some familiar faces in the mix. The final table certainly started out with a bang, as we lost three players simultaneously, but then play slowed to a more manageable pace for all involved.
As would be expected, the chip lead jumped around a bit, as nobody really retained it for long. Even when we reached the final five, the chips were flying like beads at a Mardi Gras parade.
When we got down to four, there was some talk of striking a deal; however, that never reached fruition, and play continued. Once we were down to three players, another discussion ensued, and this time, all three men went away happy.
When all was said and done, Ben Ector emerged victorious winning a hefty $39,648 and our stunning trophy which, he said, he was giving to his mom. Congratulations again Ben!

Congratulations again to the rest of our final table.
