Congratulations to Toto Leonidas from Long Beach, CA who finished third in our DeepStack Extravaganza II Event #20 $600 NLH MonsterStack $200K GTD winning $30,070.

Congratulations to Julio Novo from Las Vegas, NV who finished fourth in our DeepStack Extravaganza II Event #20 $600 NLH MonsterStack $200K GTD winning $16,642.
Following a 9♥ Q♦ J♠ flop, Novo checked from the big blind, Ector bet 160K from the cutoff, Novo raised to 400K, and Ector shoved. Novo snap called and flipped over his 10♠ 7♠ while Ector showed 10♦ K♥, effectively flopping a straight. The board rounded out with 4♣ 5♦, and Novo was out, making Ector the chip leader.

Ben Ector just doubled up his 2.39 million chip stack against Kfir Nahum when Nahum raised preflop to 250K from the big blind and Ector shoved from the small blind. Nahum called effective. It was Ector’s Q♥ K♠ against Nahum’s pocket Queens. When a King hit the river, Nahum wasn’t too happy losing 2.39 million chips.
In the next hand, however, it was Nahum who shoved from the small blind with his final 1.515 million chips and A♥ K♥ and was called by Julio Novo from the cutoff with pocket Queens. Again, the Queens lost when the board ran J♦ 2♥ 5♥ 10♣ 6♥ giving Nahum retribution on the river with a flush.
The very quiet Toto Leonidas just doubled up his 1.46 million chip stack against Ben Ector in a hand that saw both men raising and re-raising post-flop (10♠ 6♣ 9♣) until Leonidas shoved and Ector called. It was Ector’s 3♣ 5♣ against Leonidas’ K♦ 10♣. The board rounded out with 3♦ and 10♥ giving Leonidas the pot.
After quite a frenetic start to this final table, the pace has slowed considerably. We’ve had a lot of limping and a few raises, but nothing too spectacular to report. But stay tuned, something is bound to happen.
And play will continue.
Our remaining four players are discussing a deal. Stay tuned.
Congratulations to Kao Saevang from Sacramento, CA who finished fifth in our DeepStack Extravaganza II Event #20 $600 NLH MonsterStack $200K GTD winning $12,538.
It was Saevang’s pocket deuces against Ector’s pocket Queens. With a Queen in the window, Saevang knew that his time in this tournament was over.

Going into the Level 27 break, here is where our remaining five gentlemen stand:
Julio Novo: 3,890,000
Ben Ector: 5,210,000
Kao Saevang: 870,000
Kfir Nahum: 2,970,000
Tito Leonidas: 2,715,000
When we return, the blinds will be 40,000/80,000 with an 80,000 big blind ante.
Congratulations to Jon Turner from Las Vegas, NV who finished sixth in our DeepStack Extravaganza II Event #20 $600 NLH MonsterStack $200K GTD winning $9,575.
Turner shoved from the button with K♥ 2♥, and was called effective by Kfir Nahum and his pocket Jacks. The Jacks held up.
