Airy Phanhyaseng

Airy Phanhyaseng’s domination over the Event 12 final table continues as he approaches 5,000,000. “Jack Smith” (pseudonym for a player who preferred to not be formally identified) moved all-in for 745,000 in the cutoff and Phanhyaseng re-jammed on the button. Dustin Lee and Will Givens folded from the blinds and Smith was at risk for his tournament life.

Smith showed 9♣9 and needed a third nine or straight/flush cards to overcome the KK♠ of Phanhyaseng. The A♣Q♣J flop left Smith needing running cards or a nine. The 4♠ turn did nothing to improve Smith’s hand and the 5♣ river sent him to the rail.

Phanhyaseng holds almost half of the chips in play and is running away wit the final table.
