Richard Washinsky
The second elimination of the final table almost occurred immediately after Moon Kim’s bustout but Richard Washinksy managed to hold against Robert Banto to keep the field nine-handed.
Washinsky opened for 50,000 under the gun and Banto three-bet to 155,000 on the button. The blinds released and Washinksy shoved for 268,000 total. Needing 113,000 more to win a pot of over 400,000, Banto called with A♦Q♣ to put Washinsky at risk. It was an unfortunate spot for Banto as Washinksy turned over K♦K♠ and was a clean board away from a double.
The 10♦7♣6♠J♠7♦ board cooperated for Washinsky, allowing him to move out of the danger zone. For Banto, he is stuck with 125,000 and is on the bottom of the leaderboard.
