Brian Altman

Considering where he started the day, it would make sense for nothing to be easy for Brian Altman. Altman moved into the chip lead midway through the final table but hit some valleys after then. Now, Altman is back in the lead after getting some river value from Rick Alvarado.

Altman opened to 200,000 on the button and Alvarado called out of the big blind. The two players checked the 10104♣ flop and Alvarado checked the Q♠ turn. Altman bet 200,000 and Alvarado called.

The 7♣ river was checked by Alvarado and Altman bet 575,000. Alvarado considered his options and called, only to see Altman shows 10♣5♣ for flopped trips. Alvarado mucked and is down to 1,900,000 while Altman is back to 4,540,000. Keith Morrow sits in between the two players with about 3,600,000.
