David Stamm and Sam Soverel haven’t shied away from playing big pots with each other and they continue to engage in their heads up battle. Soverel had the chip lead but Stamm managed to pull ahead and then Soverel put his tournament life on the line to pull back to even.

Stamm gained the advantage when on a board of K♣6♠37, he bet 125,000 with Soverel calling. On the 7♠ river, Stamm bet 425,000 and after Soverel called, Stamm showed KJ♣ to take the chip lead.

Stamm has been the primary aggressor during the match but Soverel pushed the action to the max just a few hands later. Picking up the action on a flop of AK4, Soverel check-called for 125,000. Soverel checked the J turn and Stamm bet 150,000. Soverel then raised to 525,000 and after a three-minute tank, Stamm called.

Soverel moved all-in on the 9 river for 1,700,000 and Stamm showed the Q before mucking. Soverel showed Q2 for air and scooped the pot.

The players are even for now but that is subject to change based on the volume of valuable pots they are playing in.
