Rich Dixon is the new chip leader after taking down a massive all-in against Darren Healy.
Darren Healy’s run as chip leader lasted effectively through half of the final table but most of those hard-earned chips now rest in Rich Dixon’s stack as Dixon double up through Healy.
Healy opened in the cutoff for a standard raise and Dixon defended his big blind. Dixon checked the 8♥8♠7♦ flop and Healy continued for a similar amount. Dixon called and the A♥ fell on the turn.
Dixon checked and Healy bet 500,000. Dixon responded with an all-in raise for 2,675,000, to which he said he didn’t realize he had that much behind. Healy took a minute to collect his thoughts and called with A♣J♠ to put Dixon at risk. Dixon was far ahead with Q♣8♣ and held through the 9♠ river to double.
Dixon is up to 6,600,000 and Healy is now down to 3,150,000 but still in second place overall.
