Louis Linard appeared to have caught an unlucky river against Anthony Maio earlier at the final table in his final hand of the tournament, it was the flop that did him in.

Ariel Manuel opened to 23,000 on the button and Linard shoved for about 140,000 out of the big blind. Manuel called with little hesitation with 9♦9♠ to put the Q♣Q♦ of Linard at risk. The J♣9♦7♦ flop gave Manuel a set and he surged into the lead. The A♠ turn did not help Linard and neither did the 4♠ river.
