Mark Liedtke
The most up-and-down player and the Event 57 final table, Mark Liedtke lost his tournament life over the course of two major hands as he doubled up Kenneth Wong and then went belly up against Peter Eichhardt.
Liedtke opened for a standard raise under the gun and Wong defended his big blind. Wong bet 100,000 on the 10♦8♠5♠ flop, leaving himself with less than that much behind. Liedtke double-checked his cards and raised Wong all-in and Wong called with 9♠8♥8♣6♠ for a flopped set.
Liedtke’s over pair K♣K♦5♥2♦ was in serious trouble and the 5♣ turn along with the A♣ river left him with under 120,000. Wong doubled to 385,000.
The next hand, Eichhardt opened to 60,000 on the button and Lietdke called in the big blind. Liedtke shoved for 86,000 on the 9♦8♥7♦ flop and Eichhardt looked him up with A♠J♥10♦4♥ for a flopped straight. Liedtke’s A♥10♥9♠2♠ needed help right away but the turn and river bricked thus sending him to the payout desk.
Eichhardt is back in full command of the chip lead with 1,460,000 as four-handed play gets started.
