Not long ago, Vlad Tkachuk was down to roughly five big blinds but after doubling up through Kristy Arnett and getting a few shoves through, Tkachuk is back above the average stack.

Arnett opened in early position and Tkachuk shoved in the small blind for 300,000. Arnett called with 9♠6♠ and Tkachuk’s KQ held to double.

A few hands later, Arnett opened under the gun and Weiyi Mo called in the hijack. Tkachuk shoved for 750,000 and Arnett along with Mo both released. At the start of the new level, Daniel Bland opened and two seats over, Tkachuk jammed and got that shove through.

Additionally, Feng Wen Chen doubled with K♣K against the A♣10 of Matt Schultz for 420,000, making Schultz and Kevin Nguyen the two short stacks. Both players are under 850,000. Mo is just above them with 900,000.
