Noah Goldman

Noah Goldman lost most of his stack to Julien Martini at the end of Level 24 and the rest of it now resides in the pile of Trevor Reader’s.

Goldman opened to 105,000 and Reader potted him on his direct left. Goldman called for 180,000 and showed A♥Q♣8♣4♠ against the K♣K♠4♦2♣ of Reader.

Similar to Colin Gelker, Goldman hit the A♦10♠9♥ flop but his opponent turned a set K♥ to regain the lead. Goldman had a live straight draw but the 10♣ river filled up Reader and Goldman was eliminated.

Reader is playing 700,000 and is the chip leader as four-handed play gets started.

Colin Gelker

Colin Gelker started Level 24 slightly ahead of Noah Goldman but his stack of seven big blinds was not enough where he could be patient for a spot. Gelker had a chance against Julien Martini but was drawn out on and is on the rail as a result.

Gelker got his last 200,000 in the middle preflop with A♠J♣10♣4♠ against the K♦K♣J♥8♦ of Martini. The A♥J♦6♦ flop gave Gelker two pair but the K♥ turn put Martini back in front with a set. Gelker bricked on the 4♦ river and earns $8,280 for his efforts.

Short-stacked only a short while ago, Martini is back up to 400,000.

Julien Martini

Julien Martini started Level 23 in great need of a double and he found it through Noah Goldman, who is on the short end of things now.

Martini raised to 105,000 in the cutoff and Goldman put him all-in for 25,000 more from the big blind. Goldman’s 10♣8♣7♦2♠ was up against Martini’s A♥J♣3♠2♦. Martini managed to hold through the Q♦6♣6♠4♠Q♠ board and he doubled.

Goldman is now the short stack with just 150,000. Colin Gelker barely leads him with 200,000.

Robert Cowen

Most of Level 23 went by without much action but Rob Cowen found a double through Jake Tilley near the end to put himself near Tilley for the final table chip lead.

Tilley opened to 60,000 under the gun and Cowen called out of the big blind. Cowen check-called for 120,000 on the 7♣4♥4♠ flop and then called all-in for 81,000 on the 10♥ turn. Cowen was very live with A♣6♦5♣3♣ but still needed to improve on the river against Tilley’s A♠J♣J♠4♦.

The 8♣ river was perfect as it gave Cowen a straight and low to scoop the pot. Tilley drops to 560,000 and Cowen is on his heels with 535,000. Trevor Reader is third with 480,000. Julien Martini now the short stack 130,000 as the blinds get set to move up.

With levels playing at a 30-minute rate during this final table, there have been plenty of chips moving around the table. Jake Tilley

Jake Tilley had the chip lead for a short period of time after eliminating Pete Mall and he is back in front after winning a large pot against Julien Martini.

Martini opened in the cutoff to 42,000 and Tilley called in the small blind. The two players checked the K♠K♦9♣ flop and Tilley bet 55,000 on the 9♥ turn. The river was the 2♠ and Tilley bet 100,000. Martini called and was not thrilled to see Tilley’s full house A♥K♥J♣2♥.

Martini mucked and is playing 350,000 while Tilley is up to 700,000, almost double second place.

Tom Vukson

Tim Vukson was playing 200,000 when the Event 64 got underway but never moved far upward from that point. With the blinds increased, Vukson got involved with Julien Martini, who took out his second player at this final table.

Vukson limped the small blind and Martini made it 60,000. Vukson called and the flop rolled out 10♠9♣3♠. Vukson bet 100,000, leaving himself with about 60,000 behind and called when Martini raised behind him. Martini’s A♦A♥J♠5♥ was ahead of Vukson’s flush draw Q♠7♣4♣2♠ and he held through the rest of the board to seal the knockout.

Martini is now playing 600,000, putting him just ahead of Jake Tilley’s 550,000.

Pete Mall

A short stack when the final table started, Pete Mall became even shorter when he lost 38,000 to Julien Martini in a hand that didn’t go past the flop. Mall was eliminated a few hands later by Jake Tilley, who is the new chip leader.

Mall opened to 55,000 in early position and Tilley called on the button. Mall moved all-in for 80,000 on the K♣10♣2♣ flop and Tilley called. Tilley had flopped the nuts A♣7♣6♣2♥ and Mall was drawing to an emergency low A♦K♠4♠3♦. The 5♠ turn gave him more outs but the 2♦ river was not the right card.

Tilley leads with 520,000, which is close to one-quarter of the total chips in play.

Max Schindler

Down to a meager 250 chips earlier today, Max Schindler was more than pleased to make it to the final table. However, upon making it here, Schindler had his hopes set on finishing better than 9th, but that is what he will have to settle for.

Julien Martini opened to 35,000 in early position and Schindler jammed for 136,000 total in the big blind. Martini called with A♦4♣4♥10♠ and was facing the A♠J♣6♦5♣ of Schindler. The Q♥9♥3♥3♠2♦ board was not the one Schindler was looking for and he is the first player out from the final table.

Martini was playing over 450,000 for a brief moment but after doubling up Trevor Reader, is playing 375,000, which puts him next to Robert Cowen for the chip lead. Reader and Pete Mall are the two short stacks with both players having about 170,000 in front of them.
