The $600 SuperStack events have proved to be a great price point over the course of the DSE III series and this week’s $200,000 guaranteed event was no different. The total prize pool reached over $300,000 and the primary share of it belongs to the winner, Travis Lauson.

The Wisconsin-based Lauson was winding down his summer schedule and ended up registering this event on fairly late notice. Lauson busted from the WSOP Main Event on Day 1 but got his buy-in back and more with the $58,176 he earned for first place with his victory.

Lauson gained the chip lead early on at the final table and won all of the critical all-ins necessary to achieve victory. This is Lauson’s first DSE victory and hopefully not his last with a few more events left on the DSE III calendar.
