The summer is winding down and soon enough, all the players who arrived in Las Vegas a few weeks ago will depart to their respective corners of the country. The $1,100 SuperStack is one of the last tournaments remaining on the schedule and a few players hope to finish out strong.
David Jackson is one of the hardest workers on the tournament circuit and his persistence paid off last week when he won Event 80: $1,100 SuperStack $300,000 guaranteed. That win earned Jackson $56,000 and he followed the strong effort up with a Day 4 finish in the WSOP Main Event. Jackson has grossed over $100,000 this summer and hopes to add another five-figure payday to his haul.
New Jersey’s Mike Azzaro has put together a few small scores but is waiting for his breakout performance. Azzaro has recorded a respectable cash total of eight for his volume put in this summer. The beach awaits Azzaro when he returns home but he would much rather land in the Garden State with gold in his pockets rather than sand.
