Skylar Gonzalez
Skylar Gonzalez lost a few small pots to Chad Campbell to fall below 1,000,000. Those chips went into the middle in a massive spot that Gonzalez fell just shy of connecting on.
Gonzalez raised the small blind to 120,000 and Patrick Khayat three-bet to 360,000 from the big blind. The bet was matched by Gonzalez and he took the lead on the J♦6♦5♣ flop by shoving for 600,000. Khayat called with A♣A♦K♣5♠ and had to fade the 9♣8♥8♣7♠ wrap of Gonzalez.
The 3♥ turn missed Gonzalez and bricked the other side of the board on the Q♠ river.
Gonzalez earns his second PLO cash of the DeepStack Championship Series (3rd place in Event #21 $400 PLO) and his largest career tournament score to date.
Chad Campbell – 3,780,000
Patrick Khayat – 2,315,000
Skylar Gonzalez – 3rd place ($29,463)
